Rent our Cessna 172, easy scheduling, fast checkout

Our 1961 Cessna 172B, tail number N8208X, based at Brennand Airport (79C) in Neenah, WI, the same airplane we use for instruction.

You'll need at least 100 hours of total flight time and a completed checkout in our airplane. After that, you just need to stay current.

A checkout at Brennand Airport, roughly one hour of ground and two to three hours of flight, so we both know you’re safe and comfortable in the airplane. We keep it quick and easy to schedule.

You need to have flown N8208X within the last 90 days. If it's been longer, a shorter instructor re-checkout gets you current again.

Wet, at $135/hour, the hourly rate includes fuel. For multi-day rentals, a minimum rental time of 3 hours per day may be charged if that is higher than your actual usage.

There is a one-time $100 joining fee and a $25 / month access fee to be able to rent the aircraft. From there, you fly at $135/hour wet and get a free flight review every two years.

Insurance on the aircraft is carried by Compass and Prop.

No. Flying clubs are member-owned, nonprofit arrangements where members share operational costs. Compass and Prop is a commercial rental business. You rent the aircraft from us like any FBO rental. Our joining and monthly access fees are simply how we price access, similar to a subscription. Renters are pilot in command and rent under a standard rental agreement after a checkout.

The joining fee and access fee cover the administrative side of renting: onboarding new renters, keeping accurate records, and staying in touch with everyone who's actively renting so we know who's flying and can keep things running smoothly. It isn't club dues. It's simply the administrative cost of staying on as a renter.
