Compass and Prop Flight Training (“we,” “us”) operates this website at https://compassandprop.com. We’re an independent flight training and aircraft rental operation based at Brennand Airport (79C) in Neenah, Wisconsin. This policy explains what information this website collects and how we use it.
Information you give us
The forms on this site — the contact form, the newsletter signup, and the aerial photography booking form — ask for information such as your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, and your message. We use this information to respond to your inquiry and for no other purpose, unless you also choose to subscribe to our newsletter.
Form submissions are delivered to us by email through Resend, our email service provider. When you submit a form, you’ll also receive a confirmation email at the address you provided.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter — through the signup form or by checking the subscribe box on the contact form — we store your name and email address with Resend so we can send you our roughly monthly email. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at [email protected] and we’ll remove you.
We never sell or share our mailing list.
Analytics and cookies
We use two analytics services to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are read, which links are clicked, and how people find us:
- Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google). You can learn how Google uses data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- PostHog, which collects page views and clicks and may record anonymized browsing sessions to help us improve the site. Text you type into forms is masked and not included in these recordings. PostHog’s privacy policy is at https://posthog.com/privacy.
Both services use cookies or similar browser storage. Neither identifies you by name; analytics data is not linked to information you submit through our forms. You can limit or block these cookies through your browser settings or extensions without affecting your ability to use the site.
Booking and external services
Some links on this site take you to services run by other companies — for example, discovery flight scheduling through Flight Schedule Pro and book purchases through Amazon. Once you leave our site, those companies’ own privacy policies apply.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Amazon Web Services and served through Cloudflare. Like nearly all web infrastructure, these providers keep standard server logs that include IP addresses, which we use only for security and troubleshooting.
How long we keep information
We keep contact form emails as ordinary business correspondence for as long as they’re useful to us. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to the default retention settings of Google Analytics and PostHog.
Children
This website is directed at adults — student pilots, renters, and parents researching flight training for their kids. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our forms, email us and we’ll delete it.

If you’d like to know what information we have about you, or want it corrected or deleted, email [email protected] or call (920) 358-0581. We’re an independent operation — you’ll be talking to a person, and we’ll take care of it promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
